Horror Pod Class

Hey class!  Come meet Mike and Tyler, two high school teachers who absolutely love to talk and write about the horror genre!  We also own and write for a website named Signal Horizon, where you can get the latest news, reviews, and analysis of works from the horror and dark science fiction genres!

Nov 12, 2018

Class is back in session and Tyler and Mike are discussing a franchise that we have all heard of and watched, the Saw franchise!  Yep, it doesn't matter if you love or hate Saw, you have to admit that at least the first one was pretty powerful.  Instead of hating on Saw, which we do a little bit, we take a look back at Jigsaw through the lens of French philosopher Michel Foucault's conception of "biopower" and "biopolitics."  Plus, hear Mike's take on S.T. Joshi's latest nonfiction work, 21st Century Horror.
